More than two dozen Helen Andersen works, long thought lost, have been recovered from storage in a Sidney B.C. apartment building. The building had been the home of Raabye Andersen for some years after Helen’s death.
New owners acquired the building and the paintings along with it. They set about trying to locate someone in Helen’s family, to take the artworks. Their efforts brought them to a blog entry and they contacted Helen’s eldest son, William. The works, estimated to be over 30 in number, have been moved to new storage space and will be assessed and organized this summer.
